Me, Hanglider Hill and a Suzuki DR650.
Just wanted to get that off my chest.... now that I've gotten that freaking 380 lb bike off my chest where it was most of the day!

Sounds fun!  Think I'll take my 690 there.  Bassett Mill to Hanglider Hill.

Specific but not illegal. Move it where?

This usually is the fate suffered by any of those monsters I've ridden with.

I think so- I had some pretty unpleasant experiences there in the past on my KDX- I think the first time I took a chunk out of my swingarm, broke my rear brake switch... then a few minutes later my front tire went flat after I fell and broke my front brake lever off... what a day.
With a guy from Mass yesterday who said "let's head up there" and I was trying to change his mind without sounding like to much of a wimp. I thought the extra 200lbs of bike might help me so I gave in......(that was a joke, btw).
Let me tell, you, I felt all 380 pounds on top of me several times.
Last call was when I dumped it and bent the shift lever (badly), dented the tank and the bike was on top of me pouring fuel all over my legs. FUN, FUN, FUN.
At that point, he said- Uh, maybe this wasn't a good idea.
I think it was a combination- my inexperience, the trail, the bike and quite frankly, my concern over all three made me pretty nervous which did not help.
When you get into a jam- that bike's heft is..... wow.

years ago I was ridng around clough on my klr 650 w/out knobbies. I rode into that left trail and came up on all those rocks ... I got off and walked up the trail a bit ... more and bigger rocks ... I went back to the bike, grunted it around and rode back out. On the way out 3 dirtbikes were coming in ... the lead rider gave me a big smile and thumbs up. His way of letting me know that he knew I made the right move.

Is it time for me to tell people of Joey McGammon riding his KTM 950 adventure out at Moab where Tuck and the other pre CO 500 riders were challenged on their 250s? Of course we're talking about Joey...not human when it comes to dirt biking...

How about telling us about your encounter with the Jeep at the Colorado 500? I am sure that your version will be better than the 3rd hand one we got at the last meeting!
