April first (no joke) is the 18th birthday of my sister's daughter who will be inheriting half the land we ride on. For all of you who like riding in Berwick, let's try to think of something special we can do for her, so she knows we appreciate riding there.
I already have a tree cutting project for my sister. There is a 200+ year old cemetery in the woods that she wants cleared. I'll let you know when I plan to do that, so y'all can come help.
Latah,
Jareth

Hey Jareth,

We usually get Hank a bottle of good vodka but in your nieces case it might not be appropriate. Let me know what you come up with for an idea and I will be there. Also keep me informed of the cemetary clean up at your sisters.

Hey Skid,  to bad you are not twenty years younger.  Jareths niece is very presentable.

later

p.s. Jareth when is the snow going to dissapear up that way ?

Heh heh, When Jareth's niece, mother and sister showed up to watch us ride for a bit at the big rock last year I'm surprised nobody got hurt trying to show off for the ladies.

Hmmm, 18 you say?....

All joking aside, I would like to help out with something. Im hoping to find more time this season to get over there and ride with you guys, and sure do appreciate the use of the land for a riding area. Id be willing to spend some time with a chain saw and hauling logs/brush for a clean up, or what ever else you might have planned. Keep us posted.

Ron

I'm thinking the second week in July, with the first snowfall of the 08/09 winter coming on the third week of July! It was almost ridable until it snowed Friday! But warm weather is here, and I hope to be riding next weekend.
Jareth

I just talked to Jareth. He brainfarted and thought Meriden was this weekend. He said it's common with truckers to lose track of days and weeks.

Yeah, and months.....
What month are we in?
Oh, yeah, time zones can be a beeyatch too!
.
I'm not planning to ride too many events this year. The cost of gas is killing me, and since I usually head out on a run Sunday night (the job), it will be a real M-Fer to drive 600 miles after 4 hours of trials riding (with 4 to 8 hours of driving to and from the event)! I hope to ride most Saturdays in Berwick, much like last year with Bar-B-Que's to follow! Sunday will be the day of rest.
I really want to go to Vermont, because they always have the best events (that is, when I'm not hosting one!) and Up Maine, since it's my home state, and I heard last years was really good! I'll have to request time off from work for those.
I'm really looking forward to seeing all Y'all there.
At the end of the off season I really start to miss my "extended family" of trials buddies. I hope most of you will make it to Berwick this summah!
Peace out,
Keep on Cluckin, I mean, truckin'
Jareth, the Chikin' Trucka.
:o)

(Thanks Dan)
Not sure about the field conditions. Should be dry, we've had plenty of dry weather.
But it's OK to park by the shed across from my sisters house if you're worried about it.
Bring trash bags for picking up last years ribbons as we ride.
Thanks,
Jareth

If you can't make it on 4-19-08, I'll give the boots to someone who's going to RI on 4-20-08...Dan?
