Anyone know who I could talk to to be assigned a Vet A number? I was riding the A200 class, I would like to have my numbers on my bike before I return to the races.   Thanks Tim

no. talk to the scorer before you register at the next event.   Tell him what class you now want to ride and hand him your transponder.  He will reprogram it with your new number and hand it back.  Then when you go to registraion inform them of your new class and new number.

But then he wouldnt be able to have his numbers on the bike when he got to the first race.

Can you have someone pick up a transponder for you at the next race?

I tried that already. I'll just plan on doing my first race back with no numbers. Tim

You are granted a 7 day grace period. (i.e if there are back to back weekends for a race, you do not need the numbers). Theres a simple solution to this and you can just print up a sticker or a piece of paper with your number and tape it to your plates until you get your backgrounds.
