Kudos to the Green Mountain Plonkers for putting on an awesome event, in spite of the weather. By mid day Saturday, I thought the Novice sections were actually improving a bit, and traction was plentiful. Sunday, the sections got tougher as the rains came, but they were still rideable, except for maybe Novice 8. A big perk of being the only one in your class (Vintage), is you can pick up your trophy and hit the road early. I was home in southern NH by 5:30! The Fortin family also deserves a big Thank You for the use of their land, and the awesome food Mrs. Fortin prepared. The event was definately worth the drive.

Highgate was my first comp. SO MUCH FUN!!  See yall in plainville i'm hooked. Husabob, I definately appreciated that cool machinery, the honda reflex.  Thought you were gonna blow us up for a minute though! I was the guy with the mx helmet and older gasgas. I saw you ride a couple times, you rode well.

YOu must have been the guy cruisin the mud on the Unicycle? Also was that you trying to splatter into your truck on sunday? If so you gave us all a good laugh...got to say you dont give up.

Glad you enjoyed your 1st event....it gets even more fun from here on.

Yeah that was fun under tough conditions. It took me two rolls of quarters at the pressure wash to get the cow poop off the Beta and I'm still finding clumps.

I put a link for Carman Brook farm up on the NETA website. If you're in the market for maple goodies shop there. They couldn't have been nicer to us.

Dan, your comment on the other thread (air it out) about looking for leaches instead of ticks after our event was too funny.

Thanks all for coming, it was a long drive for many but hopefully well worth it.

To Dan's point the property owners (Carmen Brook Farms) are great folks. For those who didn't know they were the ones providing the home cook food and the free RV Towing service. They are very pleased with the way we trials folks behaved and respected their property. If you do visit and purchase from their web site please mention that you are a NETA / trials rider.

Last night was my first opportunity to hose off my Reflex. I did it in our garden, so that rich black earth would not go to waste!
