MOST TYPICALLY 5-5;30PM IS KEY TIME. SOME TIME GUYS CAN GET THERE EARLY AND WHEN A GROUP FORMS, THEY GO.
With rides on Tuesday and again on Thursday in other locales I'm not sure of the Wednesday turnout.
We've got to start somewhere so be there and let's build a weekly outing and rider following.
'I'm in Savanna so don't look for the orange KTM with the li'l bee (hornet).
Check out Rochester Flat trackin on Friday night.

Brian Harjula has asked me to stop by HopEv tonight and help coordinate riding for anyone who hasn't been to HopEv yet.

I'll get there around 4-4:30 and hang out in the parking lot. PM me if you need directions.

I'm a bit dehydrated from an all-day ride in yesterday's heat but I've been drinking water all day...just have to hose the bike down and head over.
I'll be in a white Dodge Durango with a dirty KTM 400 EXC ( 464 on the side plates)
Jim.

Just a heads up ....
I'm going to try and make it up to clough this wed. the 25th about 4:30 or 5:00. It's only my second time on the gasser this year so i'll most likely stick to the main loops and not be too worried about hanging it out at race pace. Keep in mind if the effluvia hits the fan at work all bets are off.

The rides are the second wedsday of the month just to let you know.

From the April meeting summary:

The end of “Official Mud Season” (i.e. May 23rd) and consequently the reopening of Hop-Ev, is approaching. In celebration Matt is planning a ride on that day (my notes say Sunday the 23rd, can’t be both… idk), meeting at 0700 at the park. Brian will be heading up the “club” 2nd Wednesday of the month rides and Dave (Skid to those on NEDB) will be working on another date (TBA).

I'm not much for technicalities .... I ride when I ever I can, and if things go well I'll be riding this wednesday ... next week it might be tuesday or thursday ..... If the current maintenance man sticks around for more than a week or two I plan to ride at least once hopefully twice a week.

I'm figuring we can turn this into the on going "I'm riding at clough on (what ever day) thread ...

I didn't get rained on... I still ended up soaked from head too toe anyways.  There is alot of water there.. it's cool when you KNOW there are 3 or so ruts in front of you, but all you can see is a big puddle....

They were out in force with the heavy equip. today... Man I hate that stuff.  I can understand on the 2-way sections, but they didn't stop there.. They end up making it wide enough to drive my truck down...

Were they working on the Stark Pond loop?

They weren't messing with any other trails, were they?

They were working on Stark pond last time I was there.  I know went all the way to what was the traffic circle thing, probably farther.  I ran into them working on the short piece of 2-way, on the way to Bassett mill (from parking lot), had to stop and yell at the guy(he didn't see me), so I could get by without getting hit by the backhoe.  When I left he was working his way from the parking lot up the trail.

In the past, they have done big parts of all of the regular trails.  They smooth out rough sections... which lasts about 1 weekend, but the trail stays much wider forever. and most every section they have done in the past, has much worse quad ruts.  Some of their "fixing/smoothing" makes for some dangerous sections, they don't last long though (soft dirt)

They need to get rid of that two way section.  Making it wider is only going to make it worse.   To many people go too fast through there.
