                                                                              Bylaw Result

The proposed bylaw failed by the smallest of margins.  A 2/3 majority was needed and it failed by one vote. (29 to 16)  I was very vocal on NEDB and at the meeting.  I felt strongly about tying voting rights to work credit.
That being said, I want to let people know I do realize there is a work issue and a small group has been bearing the brunt of it.  They have worked hard and taken a lot of their time for either a thankless chair officer position or that of a tireless crew.
At no time do I want anyone thinking I don’t appreciate all that they do.  I’m thankful to have a great club to belong to.  Opposing the bylaw change was exactly that. I don’t want the members who showed up in favor of it to think I oppose them.  This dedicated group needs to know how much the rest of the club appreciates them.  I look forward to working with the club and addressing the work issue.

Well said Matt, and I think the club is greater now and moving forward.
