Thanks Joe for letting us know about the Small Fry race.  Jacob was unable to finish the Heavenly Hollow Pee Wee race and would have had to wait until The Grassy Knoll to race.  A few weeks can seem like months to little kids.  As always, The Zins Family appreciate Gordie and your club members' efforts to include the little guys.  Thank you!

The Jr.Enduro and Harescramble are but the Pee Wee is not.  It offers the same awards as the Netra Pee Wee does.  Also I'm sure Gordie will offer a generous donation to the Netra Pee Wee series as he has in the past.  Gordie loves the kids and this is an event he loves to offer.

Since the Small Fry isn't a NETRA event could an 11 yr old mini rider race the mini in the morning and then the Small Fry in the afternoon?

Not sure what your asking.  The course is a blast these kids will have fun.  The 4's and 5's are running mostly grass track with a small woods section.  The 1's, 2's, and 3's have a little more woods with some rocks and sand for them to practice on.  Nothing too difficult as this place is bone dry.

  See you tomorrow.

If I remember right, (always a problem, ask my wife) a few months or so at the clubs event it took about 1/2 hour for the kids to do the parade lap with lots of drama and tears when they came in. But it was real wet, now that I rembember.  No matter what, O man is looking forward to the event and cant wait to see some of his dirt friends.... M,K & O Payne

Dear PSTR-

Thank you to everyone for a well run event at the PEE WEE on Saturday. A lot of work went into that, and it showed.  It was great to hear and see all the parents, siblings and friends cheering the kids on. And thanks to Mr Andy and Mr. Michael for helping Owen with his short lived drama and tears after the pararde lap. O man wanted to say "sorry" to  Mr. & Mrs. Hery for the close call (almost take out) after the brook... Close or what??..   See you at Southwick watching the pros next Sunday or at Somers in a few weeks.
Thanks Again, Michael, Kim & Owen Payne

Thanks for the kind words.  Hope all the kids had a good time. Lots of PSTR members worked hard to setup the track.

Not sure how Pee Wee parents feel about the parade lap, but it's kind of like herding cats, and seems to take forever (over 40 minutes for the PW 1,2,3 on Saturday) to get the riders back to the start.

Most of the kids had no problem with finding the right scoring barrels, and looked ready to go.  IMHO the parade lap makes for a long day, and is really not needed

Thanks to the Payne family for making the trip.  Tell the O man that was an awesome ride and congrats on the 1st place trophy.  We at PSTR thank all the parents and kids for making the trip.

I think a parade lap is important for some of the kids, if it takes a bit of time to show them the right way to go at the barrels or the course..... Thats the way it has to be. It did not bother us...

I think the parade laps are an important part of the pee wee series.  It gives kids the chance to see whether it's for them or not.  It also gives the sweepers the opportunity to see which kids need the most help.  It may take a little longer but it's worth it.
