How was the trials on Sunday? I rode Saturday, and thought the Novice sections were a good mix of challenging terrain. Family matters took precedence on Sunday, which was probably good for my left elbow, which I smacked against a tree on Saturday in N1. That'll teach me to forget my elbow and knee guards at home!

LEFT elbow?  Did you try to go between the trees?

Um, no. I ejected going over that small log, and hit my elbow on the tree by the stone wall! Fortunately, the rest of the day went better. I eventually scored a '1' on my last ride through N1, after that log was beaten down, and the stone wall was flattened a bit.

Even though my participation Sunday was short (2 loops) I thought it was good. Still sore from that shot to the kidney Saturday. The rock that we went down in sec2 on Saturday we had to go up on Sunday and that was a bit hairy. Not bad if you stuck to a 12" wide line but get off that line and it got exciting very quick. Probably a bt much for a true novice. The rains made the sections greasy early Sunday so that added some bonus points but it dried out a bit as the day went on. Now if they can just grade the whoops  and stay away from the chainlink

Ouch! That chainlink fence was a bugger. I flew by it the first two loops, on the third loop I could hear my bar ends clicking against it and then on my last loop I hooked it and went down on my ass real quick.

On Sunday I wasn't taking any chances. I slowed down and footed the rock every time to make sure I had plenty of clearence.

Other than that and ducking the branches on the loop trail it was a real fun event.

2 days of riding is so much more fun than just one.

I thought both days were great !!

One thing we need to get BACK to is, EVERY section needs to be riden by the people setting them up.
This is part of our rules. There have been sections in some of the events that you can see that it was not riden.
The rule is to avoid danger, also I asked Abe to fill in the hole next to the rocks in Novice #1 Sunday. There was no where to dab on the right going up the rock.

A lot of us go out to preview the section, if something seems dangerous, it has to be brought back to the Trials Master before the event.

OH RULES::
SORRY here I go again. Rule says you can't move things in a section after the event starts. Things are getting out of hand IMO.
I have seen a rider carry logs into a section to put next to another to make it easy to go over. This past Saturday I saw a rider knoking down the bank in section 7 nov. IMO they should have got back to the T/M.
Come to find out the top ribbon was in the wrong place, should have been wider.
I guess my ?? is why do some people think the rules are for every one else.
This was all done before the start.
There was a time you couldn't preview the sections, maybe we should go back to that.

Hmmm, on Saturday AND Sunday I got passed by the same rider going backwards on the loop. Not being an official all I could do was yell, "No backwards on the loop!" It was apparently not very effective

I even saw on sat. while spectating at the end of the day (3ish checker just left) a rider(Neta plated) going through a section a few times with no one around.Good thing I was oblivious to the rules at the time. Also road off backwards on the loop.

Hi all trial riders. Plainville was my 2nd event. That loop confused me at first. Kudos to husa bob for a 1 on sec 1. That was a tight one.  I have tons of fun at every event I go to. I hope to see all the same people at brooksville me.

Welcome to the sport. I plan on heading up to Brooksville. I missed it last year and to tell the truth it looks to be quite the event.
