Little Rhody "Time Creeper" Enduro
"Gnarly Dude" Turkey Run
"Woods-o-Cross" Harescramble

Club History:
Started in 1948; by local motorcycle shop owner Ralph Razee.  The original
intent of the club was just to have a meeting place and get together for local motorcyclists.  The club continued that way until the late 1960's;  then new club membership decided to get envolved with sanctioning off road motorcycle events.  Enduros were mainly what was happening around that time.  The Rhody Rovers became one of the AMA's district #1 enduro clubs.  Over the years we have put on many enduros; including, NETRA and ECEA dual sanctioned events as well as a AMA National enduro.  The Rhody Rovers continue to be a part of the NETRA/AMA race series.  We currently put on one enduro, one turkey run and one harescramble per year.  That schedule is quite a challenge due to our limited land use issues.  The state of RI has no legal off-road riding areas; so we are force to work closely with local private land owners for our events.  In effort to be a positive part of the community; all of the participants at our events will need to past minimum sound test requirements.  Participants will also need to have spark arrestors and act in a resposible manner.  The Rhody Rovers have a current membership base of over 60 local riders and racers.
If anyone would like to become involved in the Rhody Rover Motocycle Club our mimimum membership requirements are;

Club dues paid in full yearly.  $10.00/ individual;$20.00 Family membership.
Attend at least 3 official meetings per year.
Work at least one club sponsored event per year.
Club Membership is open to any age; however members must be 18 years of age to vote on club business.

Might I add, it`s a great club and the VFW has very good beer prices.

Paul,
My name is Mike DiMartino. I was a member of the Rhody Rovers back through the 80's and am trying to reconnect with some of the crew from back in the day.
Recently I dove back in and picked up a KTM along with a bike for my sons. At the moment I'm training my kids how to ride with the intention of doing some of the pee wee, novice rides this spring.
Could you circulate this email around to the group? Hopefully I can hook up with some of the old crew for a trail ride this spring.
Also, I was sad to hear that Larry passed away.
Back then I was one of the new young guys in the club.
Larry, as he did for many, took me under his wing and taught me how to ride trails.
He gave me a couple of pieces of advise that I've passed on to my kids.
He said "kid, put some faith in that front tire".

The other which I have not passed along to my kids is.
"kid, never mix Jack Daniels with anything but ice"

see you around
Mike Di
