THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN WEEKEND…2008 “RUMBLE ON THE ROCK” Welcome to Rocky Mountain, Alton, NH. We hope you enjoy the trails (nature formed them, we developed them); the weather (we can’t control that); the competition (it’s up to you to control that); local sites and the Week End. The Rocky Mountain Weekend Committee and friends have added several miles of new friendlier trails and extracted some of the old infamous bone of years past. It is New England however, and you will see a bit of anything you didn’t like at other venues and we hope, a bit of everything you did like at earlier events. Whether you compete in the Jr.Enduro, Pee Wee or Hare Scramble we feel you will be challenged, we wish you the best of luck, hope you have a good time and take home experiences to talk about (positive experiences of course). ETIQUTETE AND INFO There will be no parking or riding in the lower two fields, these are commercial hay fields! There will be no open fires! If you use rocks to hold down flyaways, throw them to the side of the field or in the woods when you’re done (The cutting and bailing equipment don't like them either). There will be no pit bikes throughout the weekend! Bicycles will be allowed on Saturday, No bicycles on Sunday! Dogs and unruly kids are to be tied. Please carry home what you carried in…garbage, used duct tape, wrinkled wrappers, empty Gatorade bottles and bent bud cans. Cigarette butts and bottle seals go back with you too. Pits and spectator areas are not exempt! Thank you in advance for honoring these guidelines. Sign-up, transponder assignment, Teck Check and concessions are in close proximately to the Red Bull tent. The start is at the backside of the Red Bull tent. The First Aid Station, pits and scoring will be at the farthest end of the field/parking area. Look for the Red Bull blow-up. A food concession will be available for your convince both days, please support the local economy. MVTR will sell event T-shirts so you can look back on what we hope will be an enjoyable weekend. Factory Connection is on site for suspension tuning and talking. HRP/Scorebordz will be showing and selling their protective gear and graphics. Thank you to both local businesses for supporting NETRA riders. Please support them. HARE SCAMBLE PRE-SIGN-UP New or promoted riders: Get a transponder or update your old one. Look for a “Transponder” sign or go to the RV at the right of sign-up. All riders will go to the “Teck Check” station across form sign-up. “Bring Transponder!” Sound test: 96dba Verify: Plate color/numbers and transponder reading Upon successful completion of the Teck Check, an AM onionskin will be given out. SIGN-UP Fill out and sign the onionskin, run it through the card swiper, Proceed to sign-up with your current AMA and NETRA card in hand, Minor Release if appropriate. Pay entry fee. Receive sticky back numbers if appropriate and Pit Pass (one per rider) for specific race, PITS Support Personal: No Kids! No Smoking! No chairs! No dogs! Pit Pass required. Control your rider! Riders: Follow travel lane to your pit people, Pull in, Service, Pull out directly to travel lane. “THE PITS ARE NOT PART OF THE RACE COURSE” SCORING Slow down for the Electronic Scoring, be sure the board is displaying your number. We will have independent, manual scoring, be sure the volunteers are getting your number. This is for your benefit. The scorers don’t need the points.
