Again thanks to the RITC for a great event.

When I got to the event it was raining out and I had my doubts as to how the day would go (not even sure if I would ride or not)

luckily I decided to ride, and ride I did. I had a great time and learned how to ride much better in sections and in slop/snot.

For a Senior B first time competitive rider I thought the sections were very good. Although tuff and challenging I never felt out of my comfort zone.

thanks
Ron

Yeah thanks from me too....

My 4 year old son rode the "tougher" class yesterday and did great. He rode the begginer lines and loved it. He actually managed a 3 loop I couldnt believe it and he did some stuff I didnt think he was capable of. He was soaking wet, cold and muddy and he did not want to stop riding at the end. Thats a sign of a job well done by RITC.

It was a muddy education for me, but still fun despite the rear tire coming off the rim on my last loop (thanks Ron for helping me push my bike up that hill).

Thanks for a great event!!  I liked all the sections you had setup for novice, nice long sections with some fun obstacles.  The "choice" in N3 was a good option, for me it was easier to take the staight shot hit but it gives riders the options.

Nice ride yesterday Greg...

Thats another thing...the Novice B line for next year is looking pretty good. I was worried there was going to be only a few riders and no competition. With some up and coming riders and a few dropping down it looks like their will be a good crew. Lets just hope!

It was a good turn out we had 47 riders according to Bob the Club president . Oh by the way my kids had a good time chasing all of you guys and gals around getting the release sheets signed. I picked up my new bike from Mike Leonard . He won his class on it ,lets hope he left some of that style in the bike  for the old newbie guy ! I talked to a lot of people at the event and had a great time ,thanks to all ! I hope to be able to attend a couple more events before the year's end .

There was a good turnout at Exeter and some potential for a good crew in Novice next year.  I know of at least one junior moving to Novice who will be tough to beat, he is already riding great!

Let me guess , that might be Austin Gray your talking about ,but there are quite a few young riders doing well . I am not sure if he is old enough yet ?

No probably not him. He still has some work to do but he will be very good.

Spoonagle is going to be beating us all next year. He has some great skill on a bike.

I was really impressed seeing him (Spoonagle Jr) on the bike and eating up the muddy novice line like it was a cake walk, but even more so watching him bounce around on the rear wheel of his trials bicycle after the event. Wow!

Dont forget, Austin is a few years younger. I think Dad has about another year or two at the most of showing him how its done...

Also - I had a great time on Sunday. I really liked the sections and learned alot riding the muddy loop and trying different traction techniques.

I like that name for a class.  OLD and SLOW.
Bring it up at the A/M, for guys like me over 60 lol
We could do 2 loops, and NAP between loops.
