Although I rode my  modern bike saturday in RI it was great to see all the older machinery at the event in RI.

Just wanted to say thanks again to everyone that was involved with putting it on.

There were some nice looking vintage bikes there...some you would hate to put a dent on one.

Satrudays' event was awesome as usual! It was a treat to not be the only bike with twin shocks and drum brakes. There were a total of FOUR Reflexes, and a whole bunch of TL250's! The sections were fun, and got trickier as the event progressed. Thanks to the RITC for another great event.

It was my first time checking a vintage event. I have to say it was a blast and got me thinking about getting a vintage bike. Some of the bikes were just to nice to drop on a rock. There was a really nice Cotton that seemed to have a perfect gas tank....I imagine that item is not easy to come by. Those guys riding all the TL's were a riot.

No that's my brother....... he always talks about selling it but I doubt he will when it comes down to it. I passed up a nice TY Yamaha about a year ago......I'm kinda kicking myself now after the event. There sure were some nice Bultaco's there also.

I didn't make it to RITC's vintage show due to my daughter's racing schedule. I do however go to Mid Ohio's vintage trials events and would like to know if RITC's event is similar. Ohio is great and very layed back. The sections are very doable and everyone has fun. AHRMA rules are pretty simple and the amount of vintage bikes to see there is incredible! I would like to hear from someone that has been to both and tell me how they compare.
Thanks, Gord

Gord,
I put on the RITC Vintage event and also was at the Mid Ohio this year along with a few other New England guys.
The format is simular with 3 lines (novice, int, expert) 8 sections, 3 loops.
RI has a lot more rocks than Midohio, so it can be a bit rougher get around the loop.  This year was very wet adding to the slipperyness.
Everybody gets a t shirt and TORCO Oil is kind enough to give us free oil to pass out.
This event celebrates the first world round in the US back in 1975. In fact, some of the sections are in the same areas.
You should come ride it next year!

I will definately be there! Thanks for the information.
I will also be running Mid Ohio. Maybe we could ride a loop together.
