It all depends on your weight. A good place to start is 6 in front and 4.5-5 in rear. I ran mine at 5 in the front and 3 in the back. For a place like Meriden I would add a 1/2# to each tire due to the sharp rocks.

I'm not sure how many Meriden guys there are... But I know about the rocks, espescially the last leg of the 09 loop... Yikes!

I run about 5 to 6 in the front and 2.5 to 4.5 in rear.
Run softer tires for mud, better traction and the lugs clean out better.
Harder tires for solid ground/rocks for better control and stability.
If I do a lot of high speed trail riding, I will double that, and more.
A hard impact on a sharp rock with low air pressure can damage the tire, tube, or rims.
I'm about 190 pounds, like Motofire suggested, adjust more or less for weight.
Good luck,
Jareth
:o)

I like around 7-9 in the front, 5 rear. I've bent every front rim that I've looked down on. I'm, like, not allowed to have strait wheels. My sweet BETA is rolling on potato chips!!

I know what that's like. My first Gas Gas had such a square rear wheel, I couldn't keep a tire on it. Eventually I got a whole spare wheel to replace it with. It must have something to do with my riding style and how it has changed. Now I run softer tires, but haven't had the denting problem. Probably all the times I came up short on the corner of a big rock, before I learned how to do it right.
I still whittle away my skid plates until there's nothing left and my header pipe is almost flat, but I'm having fun!

Start with 6lbs Front and 4 lbs Rear and adjust to preference from there. Be sure to re-check your pressures throughout the day as the pressure will increase as the Tires warm up from use. You would be surprised at the difference if you re-check from cold to warm !
