I hope this finds everyone getting alot of riding in, as the weather has been great the past couple of weeks. Just wanted to give an update on the upcoming GMP event in Highgate, Vt July 19th&20th. We are working hard and things at the event site are coming together. I'm still alittle nervous about getting enough checkers, as I've only had responses from a half dozen or so NETA members and most of them are only checking one day. It would be great if you are intending to help us out, to send me an email: tbutland@verizon.net. Sorry to be a nervous nanny, but this is my first event as trialsmaster and I'm trying to be sure all the i's are dotted and t's crossed..Thanks in advance, all help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Tom,

Perfectly normal. Every event I did the "What if I don't have enough checkers?" nerves were in full play. Somehow it always pulls together. Just makes sure the details are done and the macro stuff will work itself out.

Yes, there is ample camping at the start. You can arrive Friday and stay Sunday night if you need. If all goes as usual our land hosts will provide some good old fashion home cooking on each day, trust me you don't want to miss that.

Its Tom's call but I expect we will be hosting youths as we did the last time.

Tom is planning a great event I hope we get a good turnout. It would be great to get 60 or more riders. I realize it is a long drive for many folks, but ask anyone who has come before, its a great location, a good time, and we have super sections. Unlike our event in 06 I can pretty much gurantee that there will not be a hurricane in our forecast.

Yes, we are planning on having Youth sections. As Rick mentioned we have plenty of room for camping, starting on Friday the 18th.

Thanks to all who have sent me a PM offering checking help, much appreciated.
