Does anyone have a template for a NETA-legal number plate?  I remember someone posted a sample plate a while back, but I can't find the post for some reason.

from the neta rule book

D. All riders, regardless of whether they’re participating in the
accumulation of year-end championship points or not, must have a plate on the
front of their motorcycle conforming to the following rules:
1. Name and rider class must be displayed in minimum .” tall letters.
2. Riders may display their previous year’s finishing position if in the top
10 for their class. If a rider did not earn a position in the top 10, or if they
are riding in a new class, then their NETA membership number must be used.
3. A letter indicating which line should be ridden must be displayed
after the riding number.
4. Riding number and line designator must be displayed in minimum 2”
tall alphanumeric characters. Name and rider class must be displayed in
minimum .” tall alphanumeric characters. The colors and font chosen for the
plate information should be of contrasting colors and provide sufficient
readability, from an observer positioned anywhere within the section, for
section officials to determine which line is to be ridden.
E. A ten-point penalty may be assessed to any competitor who does not
display a proper number plate for the event in question.
F. Riders changing classes must conform to number plate rules for the
class they are riding. Failure to comply with this requirement for any event
after a class change will result in a 10-point penalty for the event in question.
G. Day-Pass riders must display a pre-printed rider plate assigned by the
NETA at registration. The Competitor’s name will be added to the top of the
plate along with the series round number and riding level (A, B or C). This
temporary plate will only be valid for that event and must be reissued for each
round. One-day pass riders are subject to the same 10-point penalty, if
temporary plate provided is not displayed.

I have a question about riding level. At meriden I rode the B line, however I did not see a C line. I'm In the novice class and would think I would be a C as that seems to a) be the story of my life and b) the class I ride in Netra. I'm planning on going to RI so I gotta get this "line" thing figured out. So am I a B or C???

Thanks Dan.  Too bad the 2008 rulebook doesn't have that neat pic.

Skid, the rulebook says that novice class rides the B line in "N" sections.  That's why you have a "B" after the number on your plate - so the checker knows which line you're supposed to ride.  Rulebook didn't say anything about novices and C splits.  So yeah, I want to know the answer to your question too.

in a Novice section, the C line would be the beginner line in the section, the B line is for the novice and senior B,and the A line is for Int.

If anyone has ??? to what line they need to follow, ASK the checkers, all the checkers at the berry farm are riders and they will help you. They won't show you the good line, but put you threw the right gates.
Thanks for bringing up the NO. PLATE. As you can see it is a rule, some people are getting away from them, ?? We will be checking for the right NO. PLATE at the berry farm. If you don't have a plate, you can use cardboard with duck tape and a magic marker.
Thanks
Bill Mac

Is your last name good enough or do you definitley need to have your full name on there??

Manray -> RE: Template for a Number Plate (4/14/2008 7:54:25 PM)

Motofire came across a place that cranks them out. I think you just need Name Number and Line. I'm sure you can put more on there is you wish. I have some vinyl material that goes in a printer. I should try and crank one out.

'C' is also the 'Junior' line. But almost nobody ever uses the 'C' line anyhow.

The Brimfield event on May4th will run C splits for the juniors.
