Bob:
You make me LOL. Do you like to read, because you are reading way to much into the statement on the rules. You said what you wanted, but when someone else says what they want, they are making aggressive statements and have an attitude.
ATTITUDE:: " MAJOR brain fart, guys " Look in the mirror.
Seems like you couldn't wait to get home so you could put the BAD Breath on SMC.
Then your wife puts you to work, and that seemed to piss you off to.
Then theres the GAS, no one used more gas then the people from ME and VT, but you don't hear from them.
If you think I am telling you to butt out, that is all in your mind, like I said your a good reader.
"Now that is just a little attitude"
Bill
P.S. WHAT is a KITCHEN pass?

Theres no need to change the way things are done because of what happened in Brimfield. I guarantee every trialsmaster thats putting on and event this year went home last sunday and checked to make sure they have the sanctioning. I dont feel anyone really put bad breath on SMC at all...in fact the contrary and thats pretty damn impressive. I would expect a lynching in other disciplines.

Bobs origional post had some venom in it but I can see his point. No biggie across the board.

So....whens the next event?

Well put, Mr. Moderator. My original post was meant express my level of frustration, which I am sure is shared by more than a few of the other riders who showed up at Brimfield, and probably came from farther away. And maybe a little dry humor, which I guess failed. Of all the sports and motorsports I participate in, Trials riders are truly the most refined, but we are still human, and it's o.k. to vent. I find it curious that Bill took so long to finally say what really was on his mind about my original post. Do you feel better now that you too have vented, Bill? If I'm the lightning rod for your frustration, so be it.

Bob I do sugarcoat things, sorry, I sent a PM to you. I didn't want John to shut the post down.

NETRA clubs submit the AMA paperwork at the NETRA sanctioning meeting. It helps eliminate this type of problem. Perhaps NETA should consider a similar polcy

We stopped doing that, as I understand it, because we wanted to see the National and World Trial schedules before we set the New England schedule in stone. Those schedules were never available before our annual meeting. I think it would make sense to do the sanctions at the annual meeting, but it has worked pretty good so far, with one little blemish....

If this happened at my club's event, I would take up a collection from the club, and, if feasible, offer a free  event for the rescheduled one. It may not amount to that much for the guys that drove 300 plus miles, but it would certainly be a good will gesture. And I would put out a donation box for the ones who can afford to pitch in and help with the cost.

I feel really bad for Steve and the guys at Brimfield, and the ones who drove all the way there. I sure hope everyone keeps a positive attitude and there's no negative feelings in the future. I couldn't make it there, but I'm looking forward to trying the reschedule, if there is one.
Rockin' on down the highway....
