THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN WEEKEND…2008
“RUMBLE ON THE ROCK”
Welcome to Rocky Mountain, Alton, NH. We hope you enjoy the trails (nature formed them, we developed them); the weather (we can’t control that); the competition (it’s up to you to control that); local sites and the Week End. The Rocky Mountain Weekend Committee and friends have added several miles of new friendlier trails and extracted some of the old infamous bone of years past. It is New England however, and you will see a bit of anything you didn’t like at other venues and we hope, a bit of everything you did like at earlier events. Whether you compete in the Jr.Enduro, Pee Wee or Hare Scramble we feel you will be challenged, we wish you the best of luck, hope you have a good time and take home experiences to talk about (positive experiences of course).

ETIQUTETE AND INFO
There will be no parking or riding in the lower two fields, these are commercial hay fields!
There will be no open fires!      If you use rocks to hold down flyaways, throw them to the side of the field or in the woods when you’re done (The cutting and bailing equipment don't like them either).
There will be no pit bikes throughout the weekend! Bicycles will be allowed on Saturday, No bicycles on Sunday!  Dogs and unruly kids are to be tied.
Please carry home what you carried in…garbage, used duct tape, wrinkled wrappers, empty Gatorade bottles and bent bud cans. Cigarette butts and bottle seals go back with you too. Pits and spectator areas are not exempt!  Thank you in advance for honoring these guidelines.

Sign-up, transponder assignment, Teck Check and concessions are in close proximately to the Red Bull tent.   The start is at the backside of the Red Bull tent. The First Aid Station, pits and scoring will be at the farthest end of the field/parking area. Look for the Red Bull blow-up.
A food concession will be available for your convince both days, please support the local economy. MVTR will sell event T-shirts so you can look back on what we hope will be an enjoyable weekend. Factory Connection is on site for suspension tuning and talking. HRP/Scorebordz will be showing and selling their protective gear and graphics. Thank you to both local businesses for supporting NETRA riders. Please support them.

Thanks to the Merrimack Valley Trail Riders,  PeeWee advisors and others who helped out with a well run event for the kids. It was very obvious to many that you know how keep them challenged. (broken front number plate, smashed rear brake lever, twisted skid plate,  bent handle bars and ice going on the ankle) All a pleasure to repair or replace, especially when they come back safe, with smiles, and learning something. Thanks again for your time and effort, we will see you next year in N.H. and most likely this coming weekend in Winsted.   Michael, Kim and Owen Payne

Andy-
Your welcome, and thanks to Cody, (I believe) that picked up Owens front number plate, that seemed to make the tears go away....  Michael

Michael, I believe it was Joe Caporelli (sp?.. sorry Joe) who should get the credit for that.  However, I would like to think that Cody would have done the same thing if he had seen in first.  Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday!  Lynne

...and how about a round of applause for Ms Stacey Hery with her first PW-1 Win!!!!!!

The Mini B's are waiting for you [:D]

hooty -> RE: Rocky Weekend Notes (7/30/2008 7:15:34 PM)

thanks Bill   After almost six years she finnally got it. And to think she was always the last of the trail every race but never got discouraged.  You were the first to compliment her on that with the sportsmenship award you awarded to her. I think that is why she has never given up.                  And Congrads to     BRENDAN      on his hare scramble win in the mini A class. I was scoring and missed congrading him. Collin said he was flying out there.
