Bill, here is some of the data I have been gathering. Your information is good information and tells us that for the most part, there are alot of other reasons why attendance isn't growing..I say growing, because I've being doing quite abit of data analysis myself on overall attendance averages and class sizes, etc..The average number of total riders per event looks like this.. 2005(56), 2006(73), 2007(61), 2008(63)..so you can see that 2006 was our banner year of the past 4yrs, but we actually grew a couple of riders per event from 2007 to 2008. What is interesting is you have spoken to 11 riders who aren't riding anymore, I wonder if they rode in 2006, as the difference from 2006 to 2007 was a loss of 12 riders on avg..Another interesting fact, is that Senior A and Senior B classes grew on avg from 2007 to 2008, on avg Sr A is up by 4 and Sr B is up by 2, Novice class dropped in avg riders from 2007(8) to 2008(3), Also Advanced dropped from 2006(12) to 2007/2008(6).
