Located in the southern tip of Maine on the boarder of New Hampshire, about an hour north of Boston, the Sea Coast Trail Riders will host the first National Enduro in the state. Being just miles from the coast and at peak vacation time, it will be a good time to load up the family and head to the coast. The town of North Berwich welcomes the event to their community because the Sea Coast Riders have donated nearly all of their proceeds back to the town from their previous events. KTM will sponsor some type of activity on Saturday, (spaghetti dinnah) but that activity has yet to be decided at press time. You would expect that being in the heart of New England that the trails would be nothing a boulder fest, but that’s not the case; sure there are some rocks but not endless miles of them.

Status: offline 		It says KTM will sponsor "something" on Saturday. Maybe in addition to the regular trials sections you can set up some trials sections for enduro bikes, like Wayne does for KPTR. Turn it into a "KTM Enduro Trials Challenge" and have them sponsor it? Expose a bunch of enduro guys to the sport of trials?

Status: offline 		Jareth, whatever happen to that really cool 2-day (vintage / modern) at the Louden track. That was one of the most fun events I have ever been too. Watching all the road racers was cool too, not to mention the bike wash and most importantly showers and flush toilets...now if that ain't the best. Any chance we'll see that event again?

Don't forget the PAVED loop!
Not likely...they wanted $5mil liability insurance. And it was a hassle getting in and out. We had to let them know weeks ahead when we wanted to come in and work, then we'd get there and they'd say we couldn't come in because someone was using the track! Big headache. If anyone knows someone at the NHIS and can get us past the red tape, I'd put on another event in a heartbeat.
Wouldn't mind doing Gunstock again or Salisbury, NH, each with their own problems.....

For now, I want to get another event going in Berwick, then we're looking into Ossipee, NH. Maybe next year we'll have an event in every NE state!!

I think John Rodis deserves all the credit for (most) of the Loudon Vintage events, at least that is who I worked with and a friend of his who was big into the road racing that made it all possible.

2004 Gunstock Vintage Weekend Cancelled Due to circumstances beyond our control, the June 12, 13 vintage motorcycle weekend at Gunstock Recreation Area has been cancelled.
The FIM/NAMU-sanctioned North American Observed Trials Championships event will now be held at New Hampshire International Speedway near Loudon on Saturday July 31, 2004.
On Sunday August 1, a modern trial will be held at the Speedway as part of the New England Trials Association (NETA) 2004 series. NETA events include a class for Vintage Twin Shock motorcyles which is suitable for vintage trials bikes. NETA also includes a Beginner's class. For more information, see NETA and Rock N' Roll Trials Club. The weekend will also feature vintage motorcycle racing at the Speedway. Camping is available at the Speedway along with showers, restrooms, and a restaurant.
The USCRA is promoting a vintage trial at the Speedway on May 27 that will be held in conjuntion with the Vintage Celebration.

Here's a few memories from the 2003 Gunstock event. Wayne Galvin won the pretigious Expert Classic Twin Shock class on his Bultaco. Wayne receives his handsome trophy from former Laconia-winner Jody Nicholas. Bob Manifold entertained the large crowd on his Fantic sidecar. Former national champion Jerry Young won the Intermediate Classic Twin Shock class on a borrowed Bultaco. Status: offline 		What a coincidence. Bob Ginder, from B&J Racing was just talking to me today about the Vintage Trials, New England used to have in NH. I told him it is now held in RI, and asked him to come.

I would like to add something more to this, if I'm not stealing the thread.
Bob would love to see a vintage event, ITSA could be involved with, here in New England, if there was enough interest. If he were involved, he would be bringing a lot of folks with him. Maybe someone from NETA could get in touch with him. We had a great turnout of vintage bikes at the Exeter event. And Bob will help out with the red tape and insurances.

Status: offline 		That was a good time. When we did the modern with vintage at gunstock, the crowd really liked it. There were a lot of people there who never saw a modern bike splatter a 6 foot cement wall before!!

He's seen me splattered up against all kinds of obstacles. Even face down in a roaring brook! And each time I look back at him for acknowledgement, he has that "what the hell was he thinking look". I think splattering is over-rated, painful and expensive.

Status: offline 		Bob doesn't get splattered unless somebody's throwing sticks at him. Word to the wise, don't let him borrow a bike with a fiberglass tank unless you want to learn how to fiberglass.

Doing a Splatter Technique and getting/being splattered onto a rock are not the same thing......
