I got my hands on a few of the gate markers that Steve and Sam made up. I wish I had a better picture because they look great and really need to be seen in person. They are really rugged and they stand out. I hope that all clubs use them. If anyone wants a kit let Steve know and he will hook you up with enough markers to do your event for $50. Heres Steves email addy....

Those look awesome. Even I could follow those through a section.

Do you have one that says "wrong way dummy" just for my benefit? Seriously, those markers look great! They are reversible, I assume?

Yes, double sided. Which is great because you can see the color from the back so walking sections will be easier and faster because you don't have to see the front if the marker to see what line it is.

Wayne,
We are making "CH" stickers. I saved some money by doing it this way. As a result the kits with gates, start and end markers are only $50. per event.

They look great and I would use them for an event. Correct me if I am wrong, but the gate makers can not be the same color as the boundary tapes. What do we do with all the red and blue tape we still have?

You can use both red and blue tape with these markers because they are yellow, magenta and purple. Notice the Red Start signs and how different the gate colors are in comparison. Its easier to see in person.

The picture I posted does not capture the true color of the A marker. In person it does not look red at all.

AYUH, Bubbah! (be sure to throw you're shoulders back and breathe in like you're gasping for air when you say 'ayah' and you'll fit right in!)

Sorry, think I'm missing something here....what's the point in 'saving money' if we need champ splits anyway. You've done a great thing here, really great!, but the sections are going to look kinda silly with these markers and pie plates for all the champs splits, ya'thunk?? So....what's the price with the CH splits?? AND, how many of each do I get for my moolah?
Rock on,
Jareth
:o)

Jareth,
Just put the "CH" sticker over the "C" on the C gate marker. Now you have a "CH" gate marker.
I will pay for the stickers.

Wayne, You make a good point. We were simply trying to keep cost down, but at this point I have decided to make "CH" gate markers. We will include them in the package at no extra cost.
