An increasing number of members are replying to the PM notification email sent to them by the forum software.  If you reply to the email message, your reply message will not reach the intended recipient.  Please use the PM's to make your reply.

If you do not wish to receive the PM notification email then you may edit your profile.

Thank you.

Still happening.  This is just a reminder.

Is there anyway you can not have the message come through with the notification? That would force members to go on line to see the text.

Yes.  Edit your profile.  You have the following options.

Private Message
Allow others to send you Private Message?
E-mail notification of new Private Message?
Pop-up notification of new Private Message?
Always save PM to sent folder
Always request PM read receipt

Not quite what I meant. Right now when you get PM notification it includes the text message from the sender. If everyone just got the notification and not the text message it would force people to log on and read the message

Unfortunately that feature is written into the software and it wouldn't be prudent for us to go in and try and rewrite that module. So I guess the best solution is to just uncheck the notify by Email box.

OK.  Personally I would just turn them off.

An Admin would need to answer that.

Just another reminder.

DO NOT REPLY TO THE EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS THAT YOU HAVE A PM.

The PM message body has been removed from the notification e-mails in order to help curb this.

Thanks
