Status: offline 		Now that the season is back in swing after a long pause, with an excellent trials put on by the Rock & Roll Trials Club this weekend, the Green Mountain Plonkers are looking forward to a great turn out for our Labor day weekend event in Highgate, VT, Sept 4th & 5th. The Fortin family is excited to have the NETA coming back to visit and will be providing their fabulous food for our event. All those who have been to Highgate, know Karen's breakfast sandwiches are to die for. Hot dogs, Hamburgs and the famous sausage sandwiches will be available as well. If you haven't been to Vermont before, it is well worth the trip. Vermont is a great place to visit and GMP & the Fortin family are looking forward to seeing you. It is looking like we could still use a few more checkers, so anyone who wants to help, please contact me at tbutland@myfairpoint.net, it would be much appreciated..

    We have had very little rain here and next week is predicted to be in the mid to high 80's. I've been working at Highgate all week and the sections are dry and with good traction, so it should be good.

Status: offline 		Kudos to Tom and the entire Vermont crew for an awesome event. All the Novice B lines were rideable and the weather cooperated. Camping in the field was very relaxing. Note to self: Don't kick a dry looking cow patty. They're still quite gooey in the middle!

Status: offline 		Great event GMP! That area is fantastic. So much stuff for the family to do while I'm out riding. The effort that Tom and his crew put in was quite impressive. 32 sections,plus the Youth and rookie loops!

Status: offline 		Thank you to all the riders and their families who made the trip to Vermont for our event this past weekend, it was most appreciated by the Green Mountain Plonkers (GMP) and the Fortin family. A special thanks to all those who came out to support our event, the checkers, registration, scoring, gate patrol, as well as the many other tasks it takes to make an event happen. We were blessed with dry weather and everyone found plenty of traction in the sections, I saw some amazing rides. Our youngest riders Youth's and Rookies had a great time thanks to two super Mom's Bridget McKenna and Pam McCann for organizing and running this part of the event. I even saw some new potential trials riders, trying out demo bikes. Thanks to Scott at Motoconnection and the McKenna family for making this happen. We had many comments from the spectators on how much they enjoyed watching the event and could feel the Trials family connection.

Status: offline 		Fantastic Event GMP. It was obvious that a ton of work went into all the sections and perfectly marked loop. Beautiful place to ride. I was also impressed with the checker enthusiasm - congratulating riders for a good ride and offering up encouragement when things didn't go as planned. (thanks folks)

This was my 1st time up to Highgate and Im Looking forward going again next year.

Thanks to Tom, Scott, the entire GMP crew, and the Fortins.
